2. Columbia Aircraft
Manufacturing Corporation
Columbia Aircraft started out in 1997 as The Lancair Company. Since the beginning, it has been doing things a little differently than other certified aircraft manufacturers. When they set out to certify their first aircraft, they threw out the old rule book and created something truly original. When they said they were going to create the fastest aircraft in their class, that could also fly farther than anything in its class, and then sell it for significantly less than the existing aircraft in that class, the critics were skeptical to say the least.
Columbia Aircraft is as unique as the aircraft they produce and, as their agency since 1997, we have felt that they deserve advertising, public relations, trade show display designs, corporate films and collateral materials that reflect that quality. Throughout our tenure with Columbia, we've created promotional materials that have separated them from the rank and file of General Aviation and broken ground in the same way their aircraft have.
In 2005, they took a different tack once again, shedding the Lancair moniker in favor of Columbia Aircraft. They made the move to create a more obvious distinction between themselves and Lancair International, a company that makes kit aircraft for the homebuilt market. We’re proud to be helping this company continue to forge its own path into aviation history.
